Seeds to Start in December (onions!) & Update on Summer Sown Onion Seeds | PNW Zone 8b

Hi Friends!! December is always a month I look forward to for so many reasons and one of them is that I can finally start seeds for the following year. Admittedly, you can only start seeds in the onion family... but you can still start seeds and dream of the garden to come.

Onion seeds can be started in the late summer or in December (or purchase starts in the spring and transplant those). If you are wanting to grow onions in your summer garden, now is the time to start the seeds if you have not already.

Also in this video is an update on my onions seeds that I started in late summer out in the garden. These babies have made it through 20 degree nights and are getting some good size. I am so excited to see how they preform this summer (I am hoping for some very large onions).
