Trump lands in Malaysia for ASEAN Summit, meeting with Xi Jinping

President Donald Trump began his first trip to the Asia Pacific since his re-election in 2024 by attending the ASEAN summit in Malaysia. ASEAN was founded in 1967 and member nations represent a population of more than 680 million. LiveNOW’s Mike Pache is speaking with National Security Analyst, Hal Kempfer, as Air Force One touches down in Malaysia.

Earlier on Saturday we heard President Trump say that he is "open" to meeting with North Korea’s Kim Jong Un at the demilitarized zone (DMZ) while he is in South Korea. "I'd be open to it, 100%. I got along very well with him, Kim Jong Un," Trump said aboard Air Force One.
