Vivek Ramaswamy takes garbage truck to Trump campaign event in NC
Former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy revealed Wednesday that he’ll be driving to a Trump campaign event in North Carolina in a garbage truck – in response to President Biden’s recent remark about the GOP nominee’s supporters.
“We’re not the garbage, we’re *taking out* the garbage,” the biotech entrepreneur wrote on X, including a video of him loading a garbage bin into the truck’s hopper.
“America is ready for us to TAKE OUT THE TRASH in this election,” Ramaswamy wrote in another post. “Proud to be rolling up in a garbage truck to a Trump campaign event in North Carolina shortly. Going to clean up some actual trash on the streets first.”
Biden, 81, called Trump supporters “garbage” during a campaign call on Tuesday in response to a Trump rally comedian’s description of Puerto Rico as a “floating island of garbage.”
“The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters,” the president said.
The White House claims Biden said “supporter’s” – with an apostrophe.
