2026 Ohio Governor's Race: Full interview with Amy Acton

Ohio voters will elect a governor on Nov. 3, 2026. ABC On Your Side anchor Mike McCarthy sits down with Democratic candidate Dr. Amy Acton to discuss her campaign and the issues she says matter most to Ohio families.

Acton outlines her proposals on affordability, taxes, property tax relief, public school funding, and data center development. She also reflects on Ohio’s COVID-19 response, answers questions about the political ad featuring her estranged mother, and shares her message to voters.

Editors note: This interview occurred on October 20th before the Ramaswamy campaign confirmed it was responsible for the ad with Acton's mom.
