2026 Ohio Governor’s Race: Full Interview with Vivek Ramaswamy

Ohio voters will choose their next governor on Nov. 3, 2026. ABC On Your Side anchor Mike McCarthy sits down with Republican candidate Vivek Ramaswamy to discuss his plans for the state and the issues voters say matter most.

Ramaswamy outlines his proposals for property and income taxes, data center development, Medicaid spending, school funding, and school choice. He also discusses his relationship with President Donald Trump, what he would bring to the governor’s office, and the experiences that shaped his decision to run.

Editor’s note: This interview was recorded Oct. 14, before the controversy surrounding the Ramaswamy campaign ad featuring Amy Acton’s estranged mother.
