TBN Israel’s Yair Pinto and Mati Shoshani report on the Israel-Iran and regional war.

The confrontation between the United States and Iran escalated overnight after Iran launched attack UAVs toward commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz. American fighter jets intercepted the drones and then struck a control station near Bandar Abbas, with U.S. officials describing the strike as defensive and limited. The Revolutionary Guards later claimed they attacked an American base in Kuwait.

The Strait of Hormuz remains one of the most dangerous flashpoints in the world. Iran is trying to pressure commercial shipping and present itself as controlling the passage, while the United States insists the strait will remain open as international waters. Washington says it will not allow Tehran to take ownership of the route or threaten global trade.

There is still no agreement between the United States and Iran. President Trump is hardening his position, warning that the U.S. may have to “finish the job,” and making clear that even if Iran gives up enriched uranium, sanctions relief is not guaranteed. The White House also rejected Iranian claims that America would withdraw from Hormuz or accept Iranian control over the strait.

Trump is pressuring Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and other Arab countries to join the Abraham Accords as part of a broader regional arrangement. He warned that he is not sure the United States should move forward with a deal if those countries do not sign. Yair Pinto and Mati Shoshani explain how the Iran talks, the Gulf crisis, and normalization with Israel are now tied together.

The IDF is increasing the intensity of its operations against Hezbollah in Lebanon, including action beyond the Yellow Line and strikes deep inside the country. Israeli forces are working to push back Hezbollah drone launchers and reduce the threat to northern Israel. In Gaza, the IDF continues targeting the new Hamas leadership, including strikes against senior field commanders.

The report also examines the BBC’s coverage of the Israel-Hezbollah conflict and explains how misleading reporting can amplify Hezbollah’s narrative while ignoring the security context behind Israel’s actions.
