IRAN: The “Roar of the Lion” war enters its fifth day as the IDF expands strikes inside Iran and shifts focus to lower levels of command, production components, and ballistic missile launch systems. Israel describes “launcher hunting” in western Iran, with reports that launchers emerging from tunnels are being identified and struck within minutes.

AIR & SEA: A major milestone in the skies is reported: an Israeli F-35 shot down a manned Iranian fighter aircraft (a Yak-130) over Tehran. U.S. Central Command commander Brad Cooper says U.S. forces have struck 2,000 targets in Iran and that 17 Iranian vessels—including a submarine—have been destroyed, with additional claims of a major Iranian navy ship sunk and large numbers missing and injured.

REGION (GULF / EUROPE): Iran is expanding strikes against Gulf states, pushing what is described as a broader regional war and raising pressure on energy and maritime stability. France’s president says the aircraft carrier “Charles de Gaulle” and its task force are heading to the Middle East to help defend Gulf states.

NORTH (HEZBOLLAH / LEBANON): Hezbollah escalates again—reportedly launching rockets toward central Israel for the first time in the current war. The IDF says it is striking in Lebanon to weaken Hezbollah and manage security tension, with widespread sirens in the Upper Galilee overnight and reports of intense strikes across Lebanon. Israel also issues a warning that senior Iranian officials must leave Lebanon or face elimination.

INSIDE IRAN / SUCCESSION: Reports from Iranian opposition sources claim Khamenei’s son, Mojtaba Khamenei, has been chosen as successor—while other claims and allegations circulating should be treated cautiously. Amid an ongoing internet shutdown and difficulty moving information out of Iran, testimonies describe mixed emotions, including reports of people openly thanking Israel for eliminating Khamenei.

CIA / GROUND RAID REPORTS: Additional reporting claims a potential CIA-backed effort connected to Kurdish forces along the Iraq border and a possible ground raid in western Iran. These claims remain reports and are not presented as confirmed.
