IRAN: Israel expanded its strikes inside Iran as the Israeli Air Force put Iran’s nuclear infrastructure back in the spotlight. Yair reports that the IDF struck the heavy water reactor in Arak, which can be used to produce plutonium for a nuclear weapon, and also hit the “yellowcake” uranium extraction facility in Yazd. He explains why these sites matter and why Israel is pressing its advantage while U.S.-Iran contacts over ending the war continue in the background.

ECONOMY: Israel also targeted major economic infrastructure tied to Tehran’s power. According to the report, Israeli strikes hit Iran’s two largest steel plants in Isfahan and Ahvaz, disrupting roughly 70% of Iran’s production capacity. Yair says this was not just a military blow, but a direct strike on an industry that brings billions into Iran’s system.

GULF: Iran is escalating in the maritime arena as well. The report says Iran attacked a tanker in the Strait of Hormuz, effectively halted movement along the vital shipping lane, prevented container ships from passing, and is now discussing legislation that would force vessels to pay transit fees. Yair breaks down what Israel and the United States may do as Iran lays mines, deploys fast boats, and fires from shore.

NORTH / RED SEA: In Lebanon, Israel reportedly eliminated a major Hezbollah mouthpiece along with two Hezbollah-linked journalists in an airstrike in southern Lebanon. And in a major development, the Houthis have now joined the war directly: for the first time since the fighting with Iran began, they launched a ballistic missile toward the Negev, which was successfully intercepted. Israeli officials had recently assessed that Iran was saving the Houthis for a late-stage escalation.
