The United States is warning that it will destroy Iran’s nuclear capabilities — even without an agreement. U.S. Secretary of Energy Chris Wright said Washington may prevent Tehran from developing nuclear weapons regardless of whether diplomacy succeeds, while President Donald Trump continues to expose Iran’s collapsing economy, falling currency, and damaged oil exports.

The Strait of Hormuz is now at the center of the war. Iranian reports speak of explosions, missile fire toward ships, and attacks on vessels Tehran claims used “unauthorized routes.” U.S. Central Command struck in response, including Iranian oil tankers, coastal missile facilities, naval bases, command centers, fast-boat launch sites, and strategic locations along Iran’s southern coast.

President Trump says the United States is monitoring the Strait of Hormuz “every inch” with the help of the U.S. Space Force. Satellites, sensors, encrypted communications, and military GPS are helping American forces track Revolutionary Guard bases, fast boats, missile launchers, drone activity, and attempts to lay mines before threats reach the shipping lanes.

The confrontation with Iran is already shaking the energy market. Brent crude closed the weekend at 96 dollars and 28 cents a barrel, while diesel prices in the United States are climbing. Iran’s oil exports have collapsed from about 2 million barrels per day in March to roughly 220 to 255 thousand barrels per day in August, striking one of the regime’s central sources of foreign currency.

Israel is moving toward the destruction phase on the Ali Taher ridge overlooking Nabatieh. After weeks of intense fighting, commandos and the Yahalom unit cleared Hezbollah’s underground compound on the ridge, and the IDF is preparing to fully deny the remaining terror infrastructure in the area. Hezbollah is deeply worried and is trying to pull Iran into the crisis to stop Israel from destroying the ridge.

The IDF launched a new wave of strikes in Lebanon, including a terror command center operating inside an abandoned hospital in Nabatieh al-Fawqa. Israel’s takeover of Ali Taher is a humiliating blow for Hezbollah and a signal that the terror organization’s strategic assets in southern Lebanon are no longer protected.
