China warns US to back off from Cuba blockade

During this week’s United Nations General Assembly, China took aim at U.S. foreign policy when Vice President Han Zheng urged the "relevant country" to lift its blockade and stop threatening Cuba, notably omitting the United States by name. This diplomatic friction coincides with a recent CBS News report revealing that the U.S. Army Reserve is currently assessing whether it can deploy police, medical and support personnel to Southern Command within months for unspecified military planning directed at Cuba.
