Flydubai Cockpit Brawl: Indian Captain Fought Co-Pilot to Prevent 'Plane Crash', Says Repo

A dramatic mid-air incident aboard flydubai Flight FZ1073 has raised major questions after an Indian pilot was allegedly attacked by his co-pilot inside the cockpit.

NDTV’s Vishnu Som explains what happened aboard the Boeing 737 MAX 8 flying from Dubai to Tel Aviv. The aircraft reportedly plunged more than 14,000 feet in around 20 seconds before a second trained crew on board helped regain control and divert the aircraft to Tabuk, Saudi Arabia.

The pilot, identified as Captain Smith Mutchard, was reportedly injured and hospitalised. The co-pilot was also injured. Israeli authorities are investigating the incident and have not ruled out a terrorism angle.
