Heartbreaking moment Erika Kirk clutches Usha Vance’s hand as husband’s body returns to Arizona

A visibly grieving Erika Kirk gently clasped the hand of Second Lady Usha Vance as they stepped off Air Force Two, which had carried her husband's body home from Utah to Arizona.

Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, 31, was shot and killed while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University on Wednesday, local time.

Dressed in black with dark glasses, the grieving women leaned on one another, with US Vice President JD Vance following solemnly behind.

At one point Usha wrapped an arm around Erika, guiding her down the stairs before the two walked hand-in-hand in a quiet show of strength.

On board were Charlie Kirk’s two young children and his parents, who had witnessed his killing.

National Guard members respectfully carried Kirk's mahogany coffin on and off the plane as the family began mourning in his home state.

His final journey will conclude with a funeral next week, where President Trump has vowed to be present.
