Farm life wasn’t what Jack Middleton thought he’d be doing. He grew up in London, focused on tennis, came to the U.S. for college, and, like a lot of people, had to rethink everything when life didn’t go as planned.

What started as helping a family on 20 acres in North Carolina became a chance to build something real. With no perfect roadmap, Jack and his family started small, made mistakes, adjusted, and kept showing up every day.

Now they raise thousands of pasture-raised chickens, hundreds of laying hens, and a growing herd of cows, selling directly to families who care about where their food comes from. It’s not easy work. It’s early mornings, long days, bad weather, and repeating the same tasks whether you feel like it or not.

In this episode, Jack talks honestly about the reality of farming, and how learning sales, social media, and sharing their story helped the farm grow from a small idea into real income. It all started with taking a chance, figuring things out as he went, and staying consistent even when the work got tough.
