Mamdani, Cuomo trade blows in second NYC Mayoral debate; Sliwa staying in the race

Zohran Mamdani, Andrew Cuomo and Curtis Sliwa faced off Wednesday night in the second and final New York City mayoral debate.
Cuomo, who is running as an independent, used his opening statement to attack assemblyman Mamdani, saying he has no new ideas or a resume to serve as the city's next mayor.
He has no new plan. It's Bill de Blasio rehash and we know how that turned out. He's never run anything, managed anything. He's never had a real job," Cuomo said.
But Mamdani, a self-described Democratic socialist, pushed back. Saying both his opponents only speak of the past, then called out Cuomo directly.
He is a desperate man, lashing out because he knows that the one thing that he's always cared about, power, is now slipping away from him," said Mamdani.
The blows continued after each candidate was asked about how they would work with President Donald Trump and the federal government.
Both my adversaries have decided to bump chests with President Trump to try and prove whose more macho. You can't beat Trump," said Sliwa, running as the city's Republican candidate. "He has said he'll take over New York if Mamdani wins, and he will because he has no respect for him. He thinks he's a kid and he's going to knock him on his tuchus," said Cuomo. "We first heard from the Republican candidate for Mayor and then we heard from Donald Trump's puppet himself in Andrew Cuomo," responded Mamdani.
