Southwest flight plunges to avoid collision, American Airlines passengers evacuate after plane fire
A Southwest flight heading from Hollywood Burbank Airport to Las Vegas plunged several hundred feet to avoid a mid-air collision with another plane on Friday. Two flight attendants were treated for injuries, and the Federal Aviation Administration said it is investigating the incident. On Saturday, passengers had to use an inflatable emergency slide to evacuate an American Airlines plane after a landing gear issue sparked a fire. One person was injured from the incident.
