US strikes 'multiple targets' in Iran, CENTCOM says

The U.S. launched more retaliatory attacks on Iranian targets in response to the downing of an Apache helicopter.

U.S. Central Command said in a social media post that the military is striking "multiple targets in Iran" and that it’s being done "in response to Iran’s unwarranted and continued aggression."

President Trump said the U.S. would hit Iran “very hard” on Wednesday.

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth emphasized the president's remarks during a press briefing at CENTCOM headquarters in Tampa, FL.

"CENTCOM will be busy tonight because we are going to hit Iran hard," Hegseth told reporters.
