That was truly mind-blowing! I am 78 years old and have watched the space travel progress from the earliest days. Watching that first stage land so perfectly was hard to believe .... it was only something that we used to see in cartoons. To think that I have lived long enough to actually see this happening! A marvel!!

I took a crew of elementary and middle school students to a Challenger Center on Monday to participate in a Return to the Moon mission. Space has become exciting for kids again just as it was for me. As a kid, I got to watch Neil Armstrong take mankind's first step on the moon, and what made it special was that my father participated in both Apollo 10 and 11, fashioning part of the radar system that guided the lunar lander. This brings back some of those feelings.

Love the woman anchor continually calling out speed in MPH when the diagram continuously and clearly shows KPH. In fact, when she claims that the capsule is traveling at 27,000 MPH, she clearly doesn't know that orbital velocity is 17,000MPH and 27,000 MPH would send the capsule free of the earth's gravity. Embarrassing.

Challenger was my very first exposure to space flight. To watch SpaceX put astronauts in orbit so "effortlessly", is just incredible. It was amazing to see Falcon land for the first time, it was more amazing to watch the heavy boosters land for the first time, and snatching that Starship booster out of mid air is just ridiculous. I can't wait to see what happens in the next 10yrs.
