How to Take a Wild Rose Cutting

In this week by week video I show you a simple method of taking a cutting of a wild rose (Dog rose, Rosa canina).

The cutting can be taken at the end of the year, around October/November time. Choose a branch which contains 'hips', which is a sign that the branch is new growth and will transplant well.

For this, you only need some small pots, a little potting compost and some rooting compound.

Please be careful when taking cuttings of wild roses that:
A, Don't take cuttings of someone owned plant without permission
B, You don't hurt yourself on the thorns
