📖 THE STORY
The Clampetts have finally arrived at their massive new Beverly Hills estate, but settling into a 40-room mansion with no water pump proves challenging. Jethro is fascinated by the "pink chickens" in the yard and brings Granny a croquet ball to cook for dinner. Meanwhile, Granny solves the problem of the unfamiliar kitchen stove by filling it with firewood and setting it ablaze the proper mountain way. The real trouble starts when banker Milburn Drysdale's confident executive secretary, Miss Jane Hathaway, arrives. Surveying the scene, she assumes the Clampetts are an incompetent staff of backwoods servants and promptly fires the very family that owns the twenty-five million dollar estate!

đŸŽ„ BEHIND THE SCENES & TV TRIVIA
đŸȘ“ The Tin Man Connection: Buddy Ebsen (Jed Clampett) almost missed out on this legendary television role. In 1939, MGM originally cast him as the Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz. Two weeks into filming, he was hospitalized after inhaling aluminum dust from the silver makeup and was replaced by Jack Haley. He recovered, waited, and eventually landed this iconic part.
🏆 A Ratings Juggernaut: By the end of the 1962-1963 television season, The Beverly Hillbillies became the most-watched television program in America, holding that top position for two consecutive seasons.
đŸ“ș Restored Classic: This specific upload features the best available version on YouTube, presenting the original CBS black-and-white broadcast fully restored for modern screens.
